Google Play Codes Now Available on Boost

Users can easily enjoy Google Play entertainment and services by purchasing and redeeming Google Play codes without the need to register a debit or credit card to the Google Play account

Kuala Lumpur, 28 December 2020 – With the continuous increasing demand for digital entertainment and games in this new normal, homegrown e-wallet Boost is further expanding and strengthening its lifestyle and entertainment offerings with a seamless in-app purchase of Google Play codes now available on the app. This new offering is part of the #BoostGotYou campaign ‘Stay at Home’ edition to ensure Malaysians are entertained with games and streaming content while adapting to the ‘stay-at-home’ lifestyle as part of the efforts to flatten the curve.

The Google Play codes are offered at various values of RM10, RM20, RM50, RM100 and RM200. This will be especially beneficial and convenient for those who want to enjoy the entertainment and services Google Play Store has to offer without needing to register or tokenize a debit or credit card to their Google Play account.

Users can purchase the Google Play codes by tapping on the ‘Do More’ tab, then tap on the ‘Games’ tile, and lastly tap on ‘Game Credits’ to view a list of Google Play codes. Once purchased, users will be presented with a code where users can redeem the credit through ‘Redeem’ under the menu bar in the Google Play app.

Upon successful redemption, users can utilize the credit on any paid service including but not limited to movies, books, game credit or even buy a new app.

This convenience was made possible through a partnership with InComm Payments, a leading global payments technology company and manager of Google’s physical and digital gift cards and codes.

With the year about to end, these Google Play codes make the perfect gift with our New Years offers. A gift for loved ones and friends to stay connected through games where it will keep all of us safe at home whilst enjoying the favorite games without limits or enable your co-workers to purchase productivity apps or tools to better adapt to the work-from-home culture.

On top of Google Play, Boost has an extensive variety of entertainment, games and lifestyle offerings users can indulge in directly from the app. They include subscription packages for Spotify and Viu, as well as gaming credits for Garena and Steam.

Under #BoostGotYou campaign ‘Stay at Home’ edition, Boost has created innovative services and solutions for Malaysians to carry out necessary tasks with contactless convenience such as paying bills, prepaid top-ups to stay connected with loved ones, online shopping for groceries or supporting local merchants, protection through COVID-19 insurance coverage and paying for fuel with Setel directly from the Boost app.
